Gonda Brain Center Hosts Summer School for Outstanding Undergrads

    Date: 2019-09-10 Hour: 14:23

The Gonda (Goldschmied) Multidisciplinary Brain Research Center recently hosted a three-day summer school for 16 outstanding undergraduate students studying at the Center.

The summer school included theoretical lectures, practical hands-on sessions and visits to research labs. Many faculty members participated, including Prof. Moshe Abeles, founder and first head of the Gonda Brain Center, and Prof. Moshe Bar, current head of the Center.

The goal of the summer school was to expose brain science majors to current brain research.  Some of the summer school participants are also double majoring in computer science, physics and psychology.

"We feel that the students enjoyed the event and not least important also learned a lot during these three days. Hopefully, this summer school will give them an impulse to become brain researchers in the future," summarizes Dr. Vadim Axelrod, a faculty member at the Gonda Center, who together with Dr. Inna Sukhotinsky coordinated the summer school.
