Identity-Based Conflict Resolution Summer Program

Identity-Based Conflict Resolution Summer Program

Why study Identity-Based Conflict Resolution?
Conflict resolution is an interdisciplinary field that addresses the causes of violent, inter- and intrastate conflicts, their management, resolution and building sustainable peaceful relations through healing and reconciliation processes.

BIU’s Conflict Management and Negotiation (CMN) Graduate Program was founded in 2000. With prominent experts among its faculty members, the Program offers MA and PhD study tracks, as well as this innovative Identity-Based Conflict Resolution Summer Program. Over the years, the Program established a Mediation Center, founded the Israeli Association of Conflict Resolution, and has launched the only Religion and Conflict Resolution track in an Israeli university.  Additionally, this is the only CR Israeli program that publishes an international journal, the International Journal of Conflict Engagement and Resolution.

Why study Identity-Based Conflict Resolution at BIU's Summer Program?

Because this Program is one of a kind
This is the only international identity-based conflict resolution summer program in Israel taught entirely in English. The Program runs for just four weeks over the summer, offering internships in leading think-tanks and peace NGOs, and a wide range of activities such as seminars, workshops, simulations, guest lectures, two full-day academic study tours and various extracurricular activities.

Because you get the credit!
The Program offers 10 credits in academic courses focusing on identity-based conflicts. Graduate receive an academic certificate, and credits are transferable to academic institutes around the world, in conjunction with their policies.

Because you get to study at BIU's beautiful campus, and spend a summer in sunny Israel
Bar-Ilan University’s scenic campus, named the most beautiful in Israel a few years in a row, has all the amenities and utilities students need to make their stay here enjoyable.
