Since its founding, the university has aspired to advance science and research in all areas of Jewish culture and Jewish aspects, and to enroll scholars, researchers and experts in the Torah, Talmud, and all other Jewish studies and are imbued with the original Jewish spirit and love of humanity.
This uniqueness of Bar-Ilan is conveyed in various ways and activities, both academically and in the general life and culture of the
Students who are interested in further expanding their knowledge in Judaism in addition to their academic studies at the University, can enroll to The Higher Institute for Torah Learning (Kollel) or The Midrasha for Women.
Prayer services are conducted on campus three times daily, at several locations. Schedules are posted all around the campus.
The Campus Rabbi's Office, headed by Rabbi Shlomo Shefer, regularly hold Torah lessons (Shiurim), and organizes various cultural programs including Shabbat on-campus, holiday programs and more.
The Shiurim are held in Hebrew, English, French and Russian.
