Bar-Ilan has established A Doctoral Fellowships of Excellence Program in Jewish Studies. This program targets and advances the careers of outstanding doctoral students, from
Doctoral Fellowships allow students who would otherwise not be able to pursue their studies, due to the constraints of time and money, to dedicate themselves entirely to research. This support drastically cuts the amount of time it takes to get a doctorate – minimized from ten years down to four!
The Fellows contribute substantially to the University by advancing research and teaching, and by serving as role models for other students.
In addition, the concentrated presence of full-time doctoral students creates a stimulating academic environment on campus. Doctoral Fellowships of Excellence are a win-win proposition in which everyone stands to gain: the student, the University and the Jewish people.
