Turkish University Professor and Author to Give a Lecture at Bar-Ilan's Middle Eastern Studies Department

On December 23rd,
Prof. Nilüfer Narlı, Chairperson of the Department of Sociology at
Bahçeşehir University in Istanbul, will give a lecture to B.A and M.A students of the Bar-Ilan
Middle Eastern Studies Department.
This lecture is given in the framework of Dr. Efrat Aviv's course: "Turkey in the 20th Century". Prof. Narlı's lecture is titled: "Neo-Kemalism and the Young Generation in Modern Turkey."
This fruitful cooperation is part of a new "lecturer-exchange" program between both lecturers, and is being sponsored by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Israeli Consulate in Istanbul.
On behalf of the Department of Middle Eastern Studies, Dr. Aviv welcomes students from other departments to participate in this interesting event.
Prof. Narlı is one of the most prominent academicians in Turkey and a prolific author. She has been interviewed by national and international dailies and TV networks regarding her opinion on politics in Turkey and in the Middle East.
