    Prof. David Tzuriel, of Bar Ilan's Departments of Psychology and Education, has discovered that gender gap in spatial ability can be reduced through training.

    Prof. Tzuriel and a colleague studied more than 100 first graders, placing about half of them in a training program that focused on expanding working memory, perceiving spatial information from a holistic point of view rather than based on particular details, and thinking about spatial geometric pictures from different points of view. The other children were placed in a control group that took part in a substitute training program.
