The Center for Basic Jewish Studies publishes, in cooperation with the Campus Rabbi, a weekly Parashat Hashavua page, sponsored by the President's Torah and Science Fund.

This weekly publication exemplifies Bar-Ilan’s unique contribution to Israeli and Jewish culture. An understanding of the weekly Torah reading is enhanced by articles from Bar-Ilan’s faculty in the exact and life sciences, humanities, law, social sciences studies and, of course, Jewish studies.

The articles deepen the Torah’s relevance and significance to the modern reader, religious or secular, and illustrate how all fields of knowledge can add meaningful dimensions to our ancient heritage.

The printed version reaches over 10,000 people in Israel, and thousands more read the internet edition, available in both English and Hebrew.
