British Minister to Address Bar-Ilan University Students

Bar-Ilan University this week will host Britain's Minister for the Middle East and North Africa Alistair Burt, who is currently visiting Israel and the Palestinian Territories.

During Minister Burt's visit, which will include meetings with Israeli and Palestinian officials, as well as a visit to the Negev and West Bank, he will address Bar-Ilan University political science students on 'The UK, Israel and the Region in 2012'. The speech will look at the bilateral relationship between the UK and Israel, as well as the challenges presented by a year of unparalleled change in the region. The Minister will also set out the UK’s position on Iran and its nuclear aspirations.

Minister Burt's speech will be followed by a Q&A session with students. The event will take place on Tuesday, January 10, at 4 p.m. in the Feldman International Conference Center.
