BINA's Nanotechnology M.Sc. Program

Why study Nanotechnology?
To learn and develop innovative compound systems and experimental mechanisms, which will advance the technological world we live in, and enhance our scientific knowledge of our environment.

Why study Nanotechnology at Bar-Ilan's Institute of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials (BINA)?

Because of our one-of-a-kind Program
BINA's M.Sc. pioneering Program offers young scientists trained in chemistry, physics and the life sciences highly advanced training in nanotechnology lab and field work.
Theoretical courses complete the comprehensive curriculum. The students’ theoretical work include courses such as "Introduction to nano-science and Technology", in which they are equipped with basic concepts of nano-scale behavior, and learn how these concepts play out in various scientific disciplines. Students may also choose subject-specific courses related to their individual academic interest.

Because of our highly practical curriculum
This unique Program includes an advanced lab course which enables each M.Sc. student to conduct two mini-research projects: one related to the design, preparation and characterization of nano-particles, and the other related to nano-fabrication. In the process of preparing and analyzing these materials, the students learn about various synthesis and fabrication methodologies. In addition, they learn the scientific principles behind the cutting-edge instrumentation available at BINA, and familiarize themselves with basic operation techniques.

Because of the Program's multidisciplinary perspective
BINA aims to provide the M.Sc.'s Program students with a wide viewpoint of the various nanotechnology research disciplines, to enable them to better understand the new systems and mechanisms in use at BINA. The key objective of this Program is to be used as a catalyst for more significant interaction between research groups from different fields.

Because of the future employment possibilities
BINA aspires to create a collaboration of scientific approaches from different disciplines, not only to expand each student's horizons, knowledge, and by extension – employment potential, but also to enable graduates to utilize these advanced tools to their maximum potential, and further their personal research endeavors as well as to reach new scientific frontiers.
