Why study for a Multidisciplinary B.A. in the Humanities at Bar-Ilan?

Because no other Program is this fascinating or enriching
The Program is composed of five tracks divided into which the student chooses from three groups of courses. The Program is flexible and modular, and offers a choice of courses by department, study track or personal interests.

The key objective of this Program is to offer students maximal flexibility in contents and schedule. Students enjoy the personal guidance of faculty members throughout their studies, and those wishing to pursue advanced degrees receive academic counseling and help in designing their future curriculum.

Because of the extensive course offering
The Program for a Multidisciplinary B.A. in the Humanities at Bar-Ilan University opens an entire realm of possibilities, where each students can focus on subjects of his or her interests, and choose to study any number of subjects taught in the Faculty of Humanities' Departments - General Philosophy, Jewish Philosophy, Comparative Literature, Classical Studies, French Studies, Arabic, English, Music and Information Studies.

Our Department believes in the interdisciplinary studies' approach, and therefore, in addition to courses from the Faculty of Humanities, we enable students to incorporate course clusters from other Departments of the University, such as Political Science, Jewish Art, Middle Easter Studies, History, Geography, Mathematics, and more.

Because of our unique study tracks
A selection of interdisciplinary courses is offered from various departments in other Faculties of the university, such as Political Studies, Sociology and Anthropology, and Geography in the Faculty of Social Sciences; all the departments in the Faculty of Jewish Studies. On request, courses can also be taken from other Departments (e.g. from the Faculty of Exact Sciences).

In addition, there are two tracks unique to the multidisciplinary Program: Community Interpreting (different languages and Israeli Sign Language) and Asian Studies, including the studies of Japanese and Chinese.

Because of the personal training and guidance
Since our course offering is highly versatile, faculty members of the Multidisciplinary B.A. in the Humanities Program personally guide the students from the very start. Students enjoy personal assistance from the registration stages and throughout their studies in the Department. The Program, in each of its stages, is accompanied by personal guidance and counseling intended to help the student continue to graduate studies.
